Summertime monsoons are a real treat. The desert responds in the most amazing way. This past summer we had incredible rains and with it came a late summer bloom that rivaled the desert in springtime. The ocotillo cactus came alive in August. I have several in my yard and one day, while filling my bird feeders, this Cardinal came to rest on one of the branches.   A perfect match!

    Inspired by my love of nature, I use transparent watercolors to create luminous botanical, wildlife and landscape paintings featuring strong composition, vibrant light and brilliant color. I create realistic and inviting images that encourage the viewer to engage with my subjects. My work tends to emphasize light and shadow as well as the vivid colors occurring in nature. The fluid and spontaneous nature of watercolor gives my work an organic and extemporaneous feel. My unique process allows me to paint on boards and canvas specially treated with layers of various absorptive elements in order to accept watercolor.

Shipping Policy

Shipping is included only for items that state it clearly in the product description. Shipping for original art and canvas giclee prints will be calculated based on size, weight and destination. Refund Policy

All sales are final. We accept returns for refund or exchange in the rare instance for items damaged in transit. To be eligible for a refund or exchange, you must first email us within 7 days of receiving the artwork at heidi@heidirosner.com to alert us of the damage, then return the damaged item to us. Upon receipt of the damaged item we will ship out a replacement, if available. If a replacement is not available we will refund the full purchase price of your item.
