I create works that I call “ Combines”, because I use a wide variety of mediums such as, acrylic and oil paint, wax, oil stick, photo transfers, charcoal, pen and ink, hand-made stencils, rubber stamps, and much more on various surfaces embellished with collage of vintage ephemera, architectural salvage and vintage, toys and games. The collision of these materials with a particular figurative invokes a sense of nostalgia and allows for the happy accident. The end result reminds us to have FUN.
