The pieces are designed with overlapping layers of varied glass styles, with an eye toward creating variety and movement within the chosen palette. Wave panels require multiple kiln firings- the first “flat firing” melds the multiple glass pieces into a cohesive whole; the second “slump fire” shapes the flat panel into the gorgeous, sinuous wave.
