Evening Crossing captures a small flock of bufflehead checking out a pond on a quiet winter evening along the Columbia River at Sauvie Island. Despite being among North America’s smallest diving ducks, bufflehead are remarkably fast and purposeful in flight. Winter days in Oregon are short, and the fading afternoon light creates a subdued beauty all its own. I was especially drawn to the stark silhouettes of the barren trees against the soft, overcast sky, where the bufflehead’s bold black-and-white plumage stood out beautifully against the muted tones of the season.

Shipping is calculated individually for each item and will be added at check out. In-stock items ship within 7 days of processing via UPS, FedEx, USPS or Freight. You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). Original Paintings are shipped with a signature required for delivery.
Refund Policy
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. If you would like to return the work please contact the artist at pkmathios@gmail.com. Return shipping is at the expense of the purchaser and must include insurance for the full value of the artwork and the artwork must be received by the artist in the exact same condition that I was originally shipped. Refunds are processed within 30 days of the artwork being returned.
