Window Shopper series. Smart, shiny, silky and a little bit mysterious. Shop windows are places of imagination for us all. They hold the mysterious possibilities of who we might become inside those clothes, poised in the window for our fantasy’s sake. The reflections in the window are a hint of the real world where we sport those clothes.

"In my paintings I explore themes from urban environments. Most of this imagery has a personal connection for me. I was a sign artist for many years and signage can sometimes figure prominently in my work, as can clothing influenced by my tailor grandmother who was a creative force in my life. My interest in projected self-image shows up in my depictions of shop windows, storefronts, clothing and automobiles. Much of my technique is informed by my former occupation as a trompe l’oeil painter and sign artist."
