Part of my Serenity Collection.  Agave are one of my favorite desert plants to paint.  The architectural shapes and the way the shadows and light play on the leaves makes for unique visual interest.  I’m particularly drawn to early morning or late afternoon when the sun casts a strong shadow mirroring its unique architecture onto the ground.

    Inspired by my love of nature, I use transparent watercolors to create luminous botanical, wildlife and landscape paintings featuring strong composition, vibrant light and brilliant color. I create realistic and inviting images that encourage the viewer to engage with my subjects. My work tends to emphasize light and shadow as well as the vivid colors occurring in nature. The fluid and spontaneous nature of watercolor gives my work an organic and extemporaneous feel. My unique process allows me to paint on boards and canvas specially treated with layers of various absorptive elements in order to accept watercolor.

The Serenity Collection

The chaos of the last several years has been challenging for many of us, myself included.  This past year has been one of seeking peace.

Emotionally, mentally and physically I have  worked hard to improve every aspect of my life and find what I have been searching for.

It is in this space that I embarked on a journey to create a body of work that represents where I’m at and where I want to remain.  I call it The Serenity Collection.  While I’m typically known for my bright, bold colors and compositions (and am certainly not abandoning them), I felt the need to balance that out with compositions that allow the viewer space to explore stillness and find peace and calm.  I hope you enjoy the paintings in this new collection as much as I enjoyed creating them!

Shipping Policy

Shipping is included only for items that state it clearly in the product description. Shipping for original art and canvas giclee prints will be calculated based on size, weight and destination. Refund Policy

All sales are final. We accept returns for refund or exchange in the rare instance for items damaged in transit. To be eligible for a refund or exchange, you must first email us within 7 days of receiving the artwork at [email protected] to alert us of the damage, then return the damaged item to us. Upon receipt of the damaged item we will ship out a replacement, if available. If a replacement is not available we will refund the full purchase price of your item.
