"I love to capture the simple but highly expressive body language of the human form and am constantly exploring ways to present that emotion and movement visually on a 2D canvas. I start with a conceptual idea and a photo shoot with a model. I look for natural and candid movements of the model which become the springboard for my composition. The background colors and patterns are an extension of the feeling generated by a pose or gesture. I also have developed a series of abstract compositions that are inspired by natural environments rather than the figure. As you look through my work you will see pure abstract, as well as realistic figures surrounded in surrealism and abstract, and pieces that fall somewhere in between.
